When Ashley & Josh first came to me to book their wedding they knew they wanted a wedding downtown Chicago, for the obvious reasons that we all love Chicago. As their planning progressed, they realized, like many couples do, that the wedding was growing into a large wedding and they really had their heart set on a small wedding. They decided to trade in the city plans for a destination elopement in Malibu, California. I love downtown Chicago weddings, but I was NOT complaining about a trip to California. We started at their ocean side Air BnB where they got ready with a few friends and family. Then we all scaled the side of a cliff for the vows. We ended the evening with dinner at Malibu Farms off the Pacific Coast Highway. Malibu is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I am so grateful that my photography took me to this breath taking location that I may have never had the opportunity to experience otherwise. Props to Josh & Ashley for following their heart and sticking to their intimate wedding plans.
