It’s no secret that I love photographing weddings in Chicago. Chicago’s landscape offers endless light, color, movement and architecture like nowhere else in the world & I live to constantly discover new ways to craft these wonders into the perfect photos for my couples. The endless opportunity for creativity Is exactly why I have chosen Chicago to nourish my passion for photography.
Outside of being an evolving creative, I love to be in the hustle of a city wedding. I love meeting my couples friends and families and hearing the stories they have to tell. I love seeing the decor production of a reception room with all its final candlelight touches and the couple’s faces during their room reveal. I love the conversation a couple has during their first look when no one else is listening. It all fascinates and inspires me.
I pride myself in creating timeless & breathtaking visual stories using a carefully executed blend of documentary, editorial, traditional & fine art photography. This unique blend of styles is everything you will ever want and need in your wedding photography.
Since childhood I have always loved making things with my hands. When I was young drawing a painting just came naturally to me and it was easy to excel in it. I rode that wave until High School where I developed my first black and white photo in a darkroom made from an old closet. I would stay after school for hours just for fun, begging my art teacher for more time. It was then that I realized I wanted photography to be my future. My passion for creating art followed me all the way through college where I majored in Photography & Fine Art. My continued education led me to earn a graduate degree in education and it was then that I spent several years teaching art to kids.
It was in 2007 that I shot my first wedding and discovered my passion for creating art through weddings. Hundreds of weddings later and it’s all I can see myself doing. Chicago and its beauty is really what inspired me to become a full time photographer.
