What is an “After The Wedding” shoot?
An “After The Wedding” shoot is a photo shoot of the bride and groom done on a day sometime after their wedding day has already taken place. The bride and groom put back on their dress and suit and have the same beauty preparations done as they did the day of their wedding.
What are some reasons to have an “After The Wedding” shoot?
- * Sometimes a couple plans a majority of their wedding day before consulting their photographer and as a result there is not enough time set aside for the amount of photos the couple wants on their wedding day.
- * On occasion unforeseen things happen (ie: severe weather, tardy personnel, sick or injured bride/groom, last minute change of mind) that are unplanned and it cuts into the time allowed for photos.
- * A couple isn’t happy with the results of their original wedding photographer.

There are many great reasons to consider and “After The Wedding” shoot. The shoot typically lasts two hours and it is not rushed like many things on the day of your actual wedding. You don’t have to worry about traffic ( this applies to in city weddings) sucking up all your photography time when traveling from one location to the next. You can go to more than one location since you aren’t watching your time. You don’t have to make your guests wait hours between your ceremony and reception while you travel around town. If you have a cocktail hour then you can actually enjoy that instead of sacrificing that time to take photos.
